Kappa Gamma Xi was established on July 23, 2024, by a trio of visionary women: Amari Quintana, affectionately known as Big Sister Incomparable and Co-Founder Lea Amante', honored as Big Sister Sacred. Their shared ambition was to create a sanctuary for women where they could thrive, support one another, and uphold the highest standards of excellence and integrity.

Our sorority is deeply rooted in the principles of vision, sacrifice, protection, honesty, knowledge, strength, and loyalty. These values guide us in our mission to empower women to become leaders and catalysts for positive change. We draw inspiration from Yemaya, the mother of the ocean, who serves as our goddess and mascot, embodying the nurturing and protective spirit that we strive to emulate.

The Longtail Bird, our emblematic animal, symbolizes hope and abundance, reflecting our aspirations and the bright future we foresee for every member. The significance of the number seven, representing the seven seas, is woven into our traditions, as we honor this symbolism by recruiting seven exceptional members per line.

Our ultimate goal is to establish Kappa Gamma Xi as a renowned sorority, celebrated for our unwavering commitment to our core principles and our dedication to making a meaningful impact on our campuses and communities. Through our collective efforts, we aim to inspire, elevate, and transform, creating a legacy of empowered women who stand strong together.
